States Ban Child Sex Changes

Texas is the most recent state to ban child mutilation and Gov. Abbott signed a bill that will allow the state to prosecute doctors performing such procedures.

While some states have passed legislation that can result in prison time for medical practitioners who mutilate minors, other states have included certain limitations that still allow minors to continue receiving medication-based or nonsurgical forms of “treatment.”

States that ban child mutilation include, Idaho, North Dakota, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Utah, Montana, South Dakota, New England, Iowa, Georgia, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi.

Florida has made it a felony to perform such acts, under the signature of Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Medical professionals face the chance of losing their medical licenses as well.

Mississippi’s law holds the parents accountable as much as the doctors performing the procedures.

Montana’s law will prohibit the use of state properties or resources to knowingly promote or advocate for minors transitioning.

Republican lawmakers say these laws are to protect children and refer to these procedures as child abuse.

While Democrats argue kids who are confused and may still be in diapers have the right to “change genders.”
