Following his meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on Tuesday, Speaker of the Republican House of Representatives Mike Johnson reaffirmed his dedication to border security.
Johnson has stated that until the federal government creates a border security plan, he will not negotiate aid for Ukraine.
Zelensky is in Washington, DC, trying to get American lawmakers to approve additional funding for Ukraine’s never-ending conflict with Russia.
With no end in sight, the Russia-Ukraine war has already cost American taxpayers billions of dollars.
However, Johnson stated following his meeting with the Ukrainian leader that he will not change his mind about linking border security reforms with aid to Ukraine.
