Pro-Vaccine Scientist criticized for refusing debate with RFK Jr, and possible 1.5 million to charity

Twitter went absolutely crazy on Saturday night when Joe Rogan challenged pro-vaccine scientist Dr. Peter Hotez to come on his podcast and debate Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the efficacy of vaccines. Hotez went on to decline the offer that would have also generated $1.5 million pledged to charity by some influential people who wanted to see the debate. He is now getting destroyed on social media, mainly Twitter, for his criticism of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. while refusing to go on and debate him.

Hotez has refused to debate Kennedy Jr. despite the 1.5M pledged to the charity of the winner’s choice.

In April 2020, Hotez first appeared on Joe Rogan’s prolific podcast.

During his appearance, he continued to bash Kennedy Jr. for his anti-vax views. Rogan went on to suggest he debate RFK Jr. if he felt so strongly about his feelings, but Hotez declined claiming that it would make him feel “uncomfortable”

Following Kennedy Jr’s appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience last week, Hotez went to Twitter to continue to bash RFK Jr. and Rogan for spreading “vaccine misinformation” and “nonsense”.

Rogan went on to tweet that he would offer to donate $100k to charity if Hotez were to debate RFK Jr, Kennedy also joined in stating that “the American people deserve” to hear both sides of the argument.

On the episode of JRE with Kennedy, he mentioned to Rogan that he has offered to debate Hotez and others before, but they all refused. Kennedy argues that Hotez can’t debate anyone because his “science is just made up” and “he cannot stand by it”.

Hotez is best known for aggressively promoting vaccines in the corporate media. It’s worth noting that Hotez worked with the World Health Organization to promote pro-vaccine messaging on social media.

Here’s a video from the WHO, with Hotez labeling unvaccinated people a “major killing force globally”.
