Elon Musk declared on Saturday that if the mixed martial arts cage battle he has instigated with fellow billionaire media mogul Mark Zuckerberg materializes, he would begin training.
Musk, the owner of Twitter, declared on Tuesday that he was open to a cage bout in Las Vegas against Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook parent company Meta, who has jiu-jitsu experience.
“I haven’t started training yet. So if this does happen, I will,” Musk said in a talk on Twitter with Ashlee Vance, the author of a book on Musk and the space race.
The match “might actually happen” said Musk while attending a birthday party in Europe, adding it was possible that it could go badly if Zuckerberg takes the match seriously.
Musk said that this year’s SpaceX expenditures in the rocket Starship, whose April premiere flight ended in disaster over the Gulf of Mexico, may be close to $3 billion.
Musk also stated that SpaceX was enhancing Starship.
