Devon Archer, the former best friend and business partner of the vice president’s first son, is allegedly scheduled to testify before Congress this week. Hunter Biden used to call his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, while he was in meetings with his foreign partners on speakerphone.

According to The New York Post, Archer is anticipated to talk about how he observed Joe Biden attending meetings with his son, who would present the influential politician to potential investors and overseas business partners. How the Post was aware of what Archer was planning to say in particular is unknown.

The House Oversight Committee will hear testimony from Archer, 48, who faces prison time for his role in a $60 million bond scheme to swindle a Native American tribe.

“We are looking forward very much to hearing from Devon Archer about all the times he has witnessed Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden’s overseas business partners when he was vice president, including on speakerphone,” House Oversight chairman James Comer, R-Ky., said.

Although Archer is anticipated to speak about several meetings in 2015 and 2016, he does not have access to crucial papers and texts that the FBI took from him and his company around the time of his arrest in 2016.

One meeting, for instance, was held in Dubai in December 2015 following a board meeting for the Ukrainian oil firm Burisma, which paid Hunter more than $83,000 every month as a director. After the meeting, senior executive Vadym Pozharskyi asked Hunter, “Can you ring your dad?,” to which Hunter complied. Archer, a former director of Burisma, is expected to attest to this.

Hunter Biden called his father up to twenty times during sessions, according to testimony from Archer, who saw it happen.

Archer has been trying to avoid being sent to prison since he was convicted of fraud in 2018.

This guy better have a team of BODYGUARDS. He’s gonna be a **dead man walking*. Good possibility that he may never get the chance to “testify”.
