House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer claimed Monday that President Joe Biden “lied” to the public about his involvement in his son’s business deals.
“Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings,” said Comer, a Kentucky Republican. “Evidence continues to be revealed that Joe Biden was very much involved in his family’s corrupt influence peddling schemes and he likely benefited financially.”
The committee, which has been looking into the first family ever since Republicans seized control of the House majority earlier this year, claims that first son Hunter Biden included his father in his business dealings with people from China and the Ukraine.
“It certainly appears that Joe Biden and his family put themselves first and Americans last, but corporate media and the Justice Department continue to cover up for the Bidens,” Comer also said.
He stated that he is eager to discuss the opportunities with Devon Archer, a former business colleague of Vice President Hunter Biden. This week, Archer is scheduled to give a congressional testimony on the subject.
