Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, poll numbers keep falling as he slips following the news of former President Donald Trump’s second indictment dominates the news headlines. Newly released polls show DeSantis down to 14 and 15 percent among Republican voters.
A Harvard-Harris poll done between June 14 and 15 shows DeSantis has dropped slightly against the former president, standing at just 14 percent amongst Republican voters, while Trump claims a comfortable 59 percent. The Harvard-Harris surveyed 2,090 registered voters.
Alternative data pulled from ‘Big Village’ for their Caravan, omnibus study, shows results which mimic the Harvard-Harris poll.
When asked “At this moment, who among the following would you prefer to see as the Republican Nominee for President in 2024?” a majority of 56.4 percent answered, “Donald J. Trump,”
while only 15.3 percent opted for the Governor of Florida.
Big Village is a data and marketing agency based in New York City and founded in 2018. They perform regular “omnibus” polls which you can see the results for, in detail, here.
It seems quite evident that voters feel DeSantis should focus more on attending to the people of Florida where he just started a new term.
