CDC Denies Claims Covid Restrictions Are Coming Back Following Biden’s Lockdown Plan Exposed

Media “fact-checkers” are pushing back against Alex Jones’ exclusive report from government sources claiming the Biden regime was preparing federal agencies to reimpose COVID restrictions, including mask mandates and lockdown recommendations.

Web host and Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones made a claim last week that the TSA and Border Patrol told him that the Biden administration was just about ready to come out with new COVID protocols for mid-September, starting with incremental restrictions like mask mandates in airports that would culminate into lockdowns and vaccine mandates.

Both “whistleblowers” were told the rollout would be in tandem with the new Covid “variant” which Legacy media has been pushing as of recent.

Following the claim by Jones, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has put out a statement on via the Associated Press denying any such plans by the Biden administration.

STATEMENT:

No such announcement was made to TSA managers, an agency spokesperson told the AP. A spokesperson for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which issued a now-expired travel mask mandate in 2021, also refuted the rumors.

The claim originated on the Aug. 18 episode of “The Alex Jones Show,” where its namesake host said an anonymous “high-level manager in the TSA” and an unnamed “Border Patrol-connected” source told him about the alleged announcement. Jones is known for spreading conspiracy theories.

Factcheck.org, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, have admitted that the claims are partially correct with some COVID restrictions coming back, such as mask mandates and school closures.

“In a few limited instances, colleges and companies have announced they will be requiring masks for the time being,” Factcheck.org acknowledged.

TSA and CDC also denied the veracity of Jones’ report to FactCheck.org.

“TSA is unaware of such a requirement,” the spokesperson said. “There was no TSA meeting on the topic.”

The CDC issued a similar statement. “These rumors are utterly false,” Nick Spinelli, a CDC spokesperson, told Factcheck.org.

Moreover, all the talk of the Biden administration reimposing “lockdowns” is not even legally feasible. “The restrictions that were put into place on businesses, on going to the movie theater, on going to the retail mall … all of those were done by states and local governments, not the federal government,” Wendy E. Parmet, a public health law expert at Northeastern University, told us in a phone interview.

“It’s conspiracy thinking and it’s catastrophizing,” Parmet said of Jones’ claims.

Parmet added that the restrictions in the U.S., which included business closures and limits on gathering sizes, were not true lockdowns, such as those imposed in China. “The ‘lockdown’ terminology is certainly a misnomer,” she said.

The so-called “misnomer” cost the United States trillions of dollars and resulted in the loss of 22 million jobs and tens of thousands of small businesses, and multiple studies found that lockdowns had no effect in containing the COVID-19 outbreak.

Biden last week announced that $1.4 billion will bankroll a new COVID vaccine development project.

“I signed off this morning on a proposal to present to the Congress a request for additional funding for a new vaccine that is necessary that works,” Biden said.
