Alex Jones Ponders Accepting Trump Press Secretary Role

Alex Jones, the controversial media personality known for his conspiracy theories, has been prompted to consider a potential role as Press Secretary following a suggestion from Donald Trump Jr. During an episode of his Rumble show, Trump Jr. floated the idea of Jones joining a Trump administration as Press Secretary for former President Donald Trump, if he were to win the 2024 presidential election.

During an episode of his podcast Triggered, Donald Trump Jr. proposed that Alex Jones could be a fitting candidate for the role of Press Secretary in a future Trump administration. Trump Jr. suggested that Jones, along with conservative journalist Laura Loomer, could serve temporarily—ranging from a couple of weeks to a month— to challenge the mainstream media.

“There’s a couple people I want to put in as press secretary for a month. Two weeks to a month just to put these idiots in their place,” Trump Jr. said. He expressed that Jones would be a more reputable news source than many in the mainstream media, despite acknowledging that Jones doesn’t always get everything right.

“Alex Jones for like a month would put these people in their place because—not saying he’s got everything right—but he’s got a lot more right than anyone in our mainstream media and I can say that for a fact,” Trump Jr. said. He further clarified, “I’m not even joking, I’m actually serious. I’m not saying permanently. For a week.”

Alex Jones responded to the suggestion with a tweet asking his followers, “Should I accept the job?” The tweet, while seemingly speculative, has generated significant attention and debate. Known for his provocative statements and legal battles, including ongoing defamation lawsuits related to his claims about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Jones’ potential move to such a prominent position has sparked considerable discussion.
