UFC President Dana White’s appearance alongside former President Donald Trump Saturday wasn’t the only thing that infuriated leftists about him; he also made a big effort to support the documentary “Sound of Freedom” and human trafficking awareness.
This week, as corporate media made an effort to disparage Angel Studios’ most recent production as “QAnon-inspired,” the veil of secrecy that had covered Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction for sex trafficking without revealing her or Jeffrey Epstein’s clients appeared to be slightly peeled back.
White used social media to do more than just promote the movie, bucking the narrative put forth by CNN, The Washington Post, and Rolling Stone that the true story of former Department of Homeland Security Special Agent Tim Ballard’s efforts to bust child trafficking rings is based on a conspiracy theory. The movie stars Jim Caviezel.
“There’s a new movie out called the ‘Sound of Freedom’ and it’s about human trafficking; more importantly the trafficking of children. This is a disgusting, horrific issue that’s happening all around the world and it’s not getting better, it’s getting worse,” he began. “And what I’m gonna do is, I’m gonna give any of my UFC employees that wanna see this movie free tickets to go see it, and I would like to encourage other executives to do the same at their company.”
The video continued with a clip from Academy Award winner Mel Gibson, who has been actively promoting the movie and raising awareness of the scope of human trafficking, the allegedly highest number of slaves in history, and how the American market is complicit in its ongoing funding.
“One of the most disturbing problems in our world today is human trafficking, and particularly, the trafficking of children. Our future is out children,” Gibson said. “Now, the first step in eradicating this crime is awareness. Go see ‘Sound of Freedom.’”
The July 4 release defeated the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise on Independence Day and had earned over $27 million by Friday, placing it third at the domestic box office and nearly matching the Disney-produced Harrison Ford film again despite playing in 1,800 fewer theaters. This indicates that the message has reached American audiences.
As they attacked devout Christian actor Jim Caviezel, CNN seized on the conspiracy theory narrative being beaten into the leftist echo chamber. “CNN Tonight” host Abby Phillip stated, “Mike, the star of this movie, Jim Caviezel, is under a lot of scrutiny for his embrace of QAnon conspiracy theories. And he doesn’t really hide his involvement in this really crazy plot that involves, you know, drinking the blood of children and things like that, so you seem to be fairly familiar with him.
Author Mike Rothschild replied, “No, he doesn’t hide it at all. And you have a lot of people who are in this world of QAnon who say, oh, they don’t know what that is. They’ve never heard of it. They’re just asking questions. With somebody like Jim Caviezel, he is openly embracing and he’s openly using its catchphrases and its concepts. He’s speaking at QAnon conventions. And this film is being marketed to either specific QAnon believers or to people who believe all of the same tenets as QAnon, but claim they don’t know what it is.”
Rothschild went on to contend, “We know it has real victims. No one is denying that, but these films are created out of moral panics. They’re created out of bogus statistics. They’re created out of fear.”
The fact that White and Gibson were spotted at UFC 290 in Las Vegas with the former leader of the Free World, President Donald Trump, was sure to irritate corporate media’s attempt to squelch the performance of “Sound of Freedom” in theaters and, by extension, the work of organizations like Ballard’s Operation Underground Railroad.
Regardless of the spin put out by CNN and their ilk, the public has shown their favor for the film and supporters like White.
For those interested in taking actions similar to White, Angel Studios has provided a link to pay it forward and purchase tickets for those who might otherwise fall short of admission.
